A Player Profile is very important to include in your emails to college coaches. This allows them to start to put a name with a face and understand your academic and athletic achievements. By placing information in one easily accessible location, it makes it much easier for a coach to evaluate a prospective student-athlete.
What should a Player Profile include?
Headshot picture
Preferably include a picture in your uniform. Also make sure to use a high quality image that looks as professional as possible.
Academic information and achievements
High School, Graduation year, GPA, Honors, Awards etc…
Athletic Information and Achievements
Team name, Position, Level of play, Jersey number, Awards, Rankings etc…
Highlight video
If you have a highlight video include the link! Coaches are heavily depending on highlight video during this time so if you have a highlight reel you have a much better chance of being seen.
Contact information
Your personal contact information such as email, phone number, coach’s email and phone number should be included.
